Do You Have Questions?

What makes AlphaGen Learning different from other coding schools?

At AlphaGen Learning, we believe every child’s learning journey should be unique. Our personalized approach, small group or 1-to-1 formats, and project-based curriculum-delivered by experienced, full-time instructors-ensure your child receives individual attention and real-world tech skills. We’re committed to nurturing creativity, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning.

What courses and camps do you offer, and are they suitable for beginners?

We offer weekly classes and holiday camps in Scratch, Python, Generative AI, Web Development, 3D Modelling, and Minecraft Education, with progressive levels for each area. All our programs are beginner-friendly and tailored to each student’s pace and interests, so both newcomers and experienced learners feel supported and challenged.

What ages do you teach, and where are you based?

Our programs are designed for students aged 7 to 16, grouped by age and skill level. AlphaGen Learning is based in Singapore, with all classes available online for students across Southeast Asia and the UAE.

How do I know which program is right for my child?

We encourage you to start with a free trial class. Our instructors will get to know your child’s interests and current abilities, then recommend the best learning path or camp to help them thrive.

Can my child join if they are younger than 7?

Our curriculum is best suited for ages 7 and up. For younger children, we may be able to adapt the course with extra parental involvement. We recommend that children are comfortable with basic laptop controls to get the most out of their learning experience.

Who are your teachers?

Our instructors are passionate, full-time educators with years of experience teaching coding and technology to children. Each teacher receives extensive training in our curriculum and is dedicated to making learning fun, engaging, and effective for every student.

How are classes structured, and what is the class size?

Weekly classes are conducted 1-to-1 for maximum personalization. Holiday camps are held in small groups, with a maximum of 3 students per teacher, encouraging collaboration while ensuring each child gets plenty of attention.

How are classes personalized for my child?

Every student receives a tailored learning plan based on their interests, experience, and goals. We carefully select projects to match each child’s passions and skill level, helping them build confidence and transferable skills.

What is your teaching philosophy?

We believe in a project-based, inquiry-driven approach that fosters creativity, logical reasoning, and problem-solving. Our goal is to help students become confident creators-not just consumers-of technology, building skills that will serve them well in any field.

How flexible are class timings, and can I reschedule?

Weekly classes can be scheduled at your convenience, and we’re happy to accommodate changes with at least 4 hours’ notice. Holiday camps run on fixed schedules, but multiple time slots are available to fit your family’s needs.

What if my child can’t attend all 5 days of a camp?

We recommend attending the full camp for the best learning experience, but we understand that schedules can be busy. Please let us know in advance, and we’ll do our best to offer alternatives or make-up sessions where possible.

What is your cancellation and refund policy?

Once a class or camp is confirmed, cancellations or refunds are not allowed. If you need to reschedule a weekly class, please provide at least 4 hours’ notice and we’ll be glad to help.

What equipment does my child need, and can you help with setup?

A laptop with internet access is ideal for most classes. Tablets can be used for Scratch but should be paired with a mouse and keyboard. All required software and platforms (like Scratch, CodeHS, Minecraft Education, etc.) are browser-based or provided by AlphaGen. We’re happy to assist with setup before your first class-just reach out!

How will I know how my child is progressing?

We provide regular progress updates and feedback for weekly classes, highlighting achievements and areas for growth. For holiday camps, you’ll receive a summary of your child’s accomplishments at the end of the week.

Will my child receive a certificate?

Absolutely! Every student receives a digital certificate upon completion of each module or camp. If you’d like a printed certificate, just let us know.

Do students build a portfolio?

Yes, we help students create personal projects and build a digital portfolio as they advance. If you are considering Direct School Admission (DSA) for your child, please inform us-we have a specialized learning plan to support DSA applicants.

Does AlphaGen organize or support coding competitions?

Yes, we actively curate and prepare students for local and international coding competitions, hackathons, and innovation challenges. Our students have achieved impressive results in global contests, and we’re proud to support their ambitions.

How are students selected or prepared for competitions?

We identify interested and capable students through regular classes and offer extra coaching, resources, and mentorship to help them succeed.

How do I enrol my child or book a trial?

Enrolling is easy-just call or WhatsApp us, and our advisors will be happy to help you schedule the perfect class or camp. We recommend starting with a free 60-minute trial class to find the best fit.

How is AlphaGen more affordable than others?

Our online-first model allows us to keep overheads low and pass those savings on to families-without compromising on teaching quality or curriculum.

What if my child isn’t interested in coding yet?

Our courses are designed to be fun and engaging, helping kids discover the creative side of technology and build confidence-even if they’re not interested in coding yet. We also teach students how to use AI tools safely and responsibly, preparing them for the digital world ahead.
