Real, polished, playable Scratch games. Built entirely by them, not assembled from templates.

Mastered the logic behind coding

Loops, conditions, variables, cloning; concepts that appear in every programming language they’ll ever learn.

A launchpad to Python and beyond

Scratch at 10–12 is the fastest path to Python. We’ll tell you exactly when and how to make that move.

Games & apps students have built in this camp

Real Scratch projects, built during camp week by kids just like yours.

Logical reasoning

Object detection

Progressive difficulty

Real-world game development

*Projects may vary. All games shown were built by real Alphagen students during this camp.

Why Scratch? Why now?

At 10 to 12, children are ready to move beyond simple animation and into real game logic. Scratch gives them the perfect environment – all the power of a genuine programming, with a visual interface that keeps focus on ideas and problem-solving rather than syntax errors.

In this camp, your child works 1-on-1 with a dedicated Alphagen teacher who tailors every session to their pace and creative instincts. By Level 2, students are writing logic that would not look out of place in a beginner Python course, they just don’t know it yet.

Choose your child's level

Both levels use the same 1-on-1 format and 5-day structure. The content and complexity differ.

1

Level 1 - New to Coding

Prerequisites: None. Perfect for first-time coders aged 10 to 12

Starts from zero and builds to a fully functional voice-controlled game. Every concept introduced through a project, always making, never just listening.

What They'll Learn

2

Level 2 — Continuing Coders

Prerequisites: Level 1 complete, or a comparable introductory Scratch course

Cloning, inter-sprite communication, webcam hand-tracking, real-world modelling. This is where coding starts to feel like a genuine creative superpower.

Their week, day by day

A sample schedule. Your child’s teacher adapts to their pace. Every day ends with a working project.

1

Level 1 - Foundations of Scratch

Prerequisites: none

Day 1

Intro to Scratch

Add characters, set backgrounds, code first behaviours.

Day 2

Lives system

Game tracks when the player runs out of chances.

Day 3

Jump, fall & surprises

Natural movement + random obstacles.

Day 4

Play with your voice

Voice commands move the character on screen.

Day 5

Final project

All skills combined into one polished complete game.

2

Level 2 — Advanced Scratch

Prerequisites:  Level 1 complete

Day 1

Making copies

Write once -> computer creates many objects automatically.

Day 2

Code meets real life

Model real-world systems, not just games.

Day 3

Communicating sprites

Broadcast and receive. Make sprites respond.

Day 4

Play with your hands

Control things with body movement and your webcam

Day 5

All concepts together

Final game gets harder as the player advances.

Frequently Asked Questions

Absolutely! Level 1 is built for complete beginners. No prerequisites at all. All your child needs is curiosity and a laptop with Zoom installed. By Day 5 they will have built several fully functional games.

Students who complete Level 2 are well-prepared to begin text-based programming. Our next recommended step is an introductory Python course as the logical thinking habits built in Scratch map directly onto Python. We’ll guide you to the right next step when the time comes.

Scratch is MIT’s block-based coding platform used by over 50 million students worldwide. At ages 10 to 12, Scratch is the fastest path to building real programming intuition. The logic of loops, conditions, variables, and events maps directly onto Python and every other language they’ll learn next.

Scratch may be better suited for younger kids, but the programming foundation they will gain through Scratch is a stepping stone for them to move on to more sophisticated programming languages such as Python! With a strong foundation, kids will have an easier time understanding different technologies and more advanced coding concepts, opening the door to an exciting world of technology and even careers in STEM!

Students who have a busy schedule will benefit from our online camps as it greatly reduces the commute time to and from class! They will need to spare only 90 minutes a day from the comfort of home to attend the online camp! As with all our classes, students will benefit from a private online 1-on-1 class with an experienced tutor.

Yes. Just WhatsApp us and describe what they have tried. We will recommend the right level before camp starts.
As all our lessons are 1-on-1 with a tutor, the curriculum is personalised to meet your child’s skill level, our tutors will engage and challenge them to bring out their best!

A Windows or Mac laptop with a connected microphone and webcam. A mouse is strongly recommended — trackpads make drag-and-drop significantly harder. Zoom must be installed before Day 1. Scratch runs in the browser with no installation needed. Tablets are not recommended as multitasking between Zoom and Scratch is unreliable.

Your child's coding journey doesn't stop here

From first project to real-world skills — we’ll be with your child every step of the way.
